Hobbies
I LOVE mission trips. It combines some of my favorite things: Jesus Christ, traveling, learning languages, teaching languages, and helping others. I taught English to the Shuar and the Achuar, two indigenous groups of the Amazon jungle in Ecuador, and to Cubans on my trip there last spring break. Now, I am returning this spring break to help them more with speaking, as well as to realize a mission trip with a group from FSU. I love fishing and kayaking. I normally fish at the lake by my house. And, although you might not qualify these things as hobbies, I love learning languages and I love helping others. I'm currently working on reaching out to Brazilians in Hialeah, introducing English at my church (translating as well as programs of learning), reaching out to Muslims in Miami (help them with English), a program partnered with different high schools in Miami to help the homeless, a program to provide school supplies for the indigenous of the Amazon jungles of Ecuador, and a program to send clothes and school supplies to the children and youth of Cuba, as well as a program that will include Cuba and the Amazon for mothers with newborns. My father is working on making me VP of a nonprofit organization he created so that I can collect funds through this organization to help the environment, endangered languages, endangered species, share the gospel, help a church with a mission to pick off homeless addicts from the streets, and reach out to everyone across the world who just does not have the will power to keep fighting a certain problem in their life (spiritual, obesity, mental disorders, addiction, eating disorders, abuse, suicidal thoughts, etc.)
